TsuShiMaMiRe, a dynamic trio from the heart of Japan's music scene, has taken the world by storm with their explosive performances and unique sound. Founded in 1999 by Mari (guitar), Yayoi (bass), and Maiko, (drums) TsuShiMaMiRe made a grand entrance into the Tokyo music scene with unmatched energy and a fearless approach to pushing boundaries. Drawing inspiration from punk rock, alternative, and avant-garde genres, the band has crafted a distinct style that blends frenzied rhythms, scorching guitar solos, and catchy tunes into a mesmerizing musical experience.

They are celebrating their 25th anniversary with an international tour starting on April 18th in Austin, Texas and will be landing in Shibuya on July 8th! We are the second stop on the tour and we are so excited to have them! This is a show you don’t want to miss!

You can catch them in downtown Norman Oklahoma on April 19th at 8PM with support from Sheesh! and Gonzo LeBronzo.

Join us on Saturday, March 30th at Opolis in downtown Norman for an awesome night of Mario and Music! Participants will race classic Mario tracks while a live band interacts with the racing excitement!

If you've seen viral Tik Tok videos of a live band playing behind Mario Kart and thought, "I wanna do that", then you are in for a treat! There will be trivia, cocktails, and more importantly, a ton of people having fun!

This is a non tournament format. When you come to the event, you have the option to sign up to play. We will then draw names for people to play throughout the day. To get as many players in, we will have people play one map at a time.

The Co-Opolis team has also put together a special music series called "Opolis Sessions" that will highlight musicians from around the metro through live audio and video recording starting on March 23rd at 8PM featuring Cherry Laurel and Liquid Girlfriend

This series will provide musicians the opportunity to have their live performances documented much like MTV’s Unplugged and will be made available on the Opolis virtual platforms following the event and artist approval.

The tickets from this event go towards the production of the show and to continue the series after the grant period ends in July. Tickets will also be available at the door if online tickets do not sell out.

Admission will be limited to 40 people as this will be an intimate evening intended to give the artist our full attention and provide them with the best atmosphere to produce great sound and video in front of a live audience. We expect to capture the sound of the room and this will be an opportunity for our patrons to be part of Norman music history, capturing your claps, glass clinks, on top of our incredible artists who will be entertaining for the evening!

This series is sponsored through the Live Music Society Toolbox Grant we were awarded in the Fall of 2023. The Live Music Society is a nonprofit foundation dedicated to championing smaller music venues. They provide support through grant programs that provide venues with crucial funds to improve the creative ecosystems of venues all over the US. They believe in building vibrant, inclusive, and thriving live music scenes that benefits everyone!

During the session, you will be guided through a meditative, immersive experience while surrounded by the harmonious tones of various instruments. Let the gentle vibrations wash away stress and tension, leaving you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

No prior experience is necessary to participate in this event. Just bring yourself, something to lay on, a pillow, a light blanket, an open mind, and a willingness to let go and embrace the healing power of sound. Come and discover the transformative effects of sound meditation!

Opolis will have alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase after.

The event entry fee is $15.00. Note: if the entry fee is a burden for you, just leave a love note in the tip jar on-site.
